The discussions encourage a spontaneous and free flowing exchange of opinions and as among participants. This technique is eminently suitable for researching subconscious areas of rigidity and flexibility across a group and is highly appropriate for notifying perceptions/attitudes. In addition, the group situation and the dynamics inherent in such a situation allow for the effective use of projective techniques which valuable insights regarding consumer attitudes, as well as latent beliefs that consumer might find difficult to verbalize.
  • A regular Focus group is conducted with 6-8 respondents and lasts for 1.5-2 hours.
  • An Extended group with the same number of respondents last for 2.5-3 hours.
